When the Girls Gone Wild tour bus rolled across country last month, it didn’t end up stopping in Kingston. Hundreds of engineering students work together to retrieve a tam from atop the Grease Pole. ArtSci frosh give out stickers as a “thank you” for donations. Frosh collect beer bottles to raise funds for Shinerama. Police laid a total of 112 charges against students in the Ghetto over the course of seven nights. Modern Primitive employees welcome students back to the city at the start of each school year. Cafes bustle come September with students seeking a hot cup of coffee. The LaSalle Building houses Health, Counselling and Disability Services, which has adopted a Family Health Group model. Kid Koala caresses his beloved turntables. Bassist/vocalist Lyle Bell perpetuates a Canadian stereotype with a big fur hat. Whitey Houston put up their dukes ... and a tambourine. K-OS removes his signature shades to look the crowd in the eye. K-OS takes his “B-Boy Stance” at Friday’s annual frosh concert.
